"Best way to start your week is to slipped, fell, and ripped your jeans" there my caption for Snapchat this morning with a picture of my newly ripped jeans and my wounded knee.
*Rewinds back to this morning*
I was walking on the street, just less than 5 minutes after I left home and all that I had in my mind was "I need to get this work printed out and hand in on time, I'm so over this assignment" physically and mentally exhausted was all I felt. I came to a stop and I was ready to cross the road. The next second, I was face down on the road. Yes, I slipped and fell. I saw that my jeans was ripped apart and I saw blood at my knee. This young french man behind me was kind enough to come up to help me and asked, Ça va ? Ça va? (means are you okay in French) I said yes but I know deep down my heart is screaming out of embarrassment and more of the pain I was tolerating at my knee.
Long story short I continued walking, showing off my newly ripped jeans lol and went on with my morning rushing to print out my work, attended a conference and went for class. I know logically I should clean my wound to avoid infection and all but I was crazy enough to put it aside and telling myself it's going to be alright. I'm going to deal with it when I got home this evening. As I got home, changed into a short and saw my knee did not only bleed but it was actually blue back.
I don't know how did I do it to be honest. It was one painful but funny day for me the fact that my jeans is ripped and I actually I like it. There's this saying that goes, when you loose something but in the same time you gain something too. This also makes me think of how I was able to stand up continue walking, tolerated with the pain and ignored the fact that my wound may get infected just to get my work pass up on time. It's kind of crazy when I actually think of it. Geez. But if you were in my place what would you do?
Oh well, you know what, this will be one of the unforgettable moments I have in Paris. I will named this memory "How I got myself a ripped jeans for free" All I hope right now is that my wound will be completely heal so that I can walk like a normal person and wear jeans again. lol. hope you are having a great week to whoever reading this. I hope you don't have to go through this unless you want to get a ripped jeans without costing any money but with some pain and blood.
xx
